We start driving to Haines.
From Seward, it is here (by bird)

Fortunately the road is so amazing and the sun is back. From Tok that we now discover by day, the road to Haines Junction is the same but we discover that the colors have changed and the fall is now here.
Haines
We pass the border, go back to Canada and after another border, we are back in Alaska. But this time by night and with the rain… Yeah!
It does not matter! In the morning, after checking the visitor center, we go by the river, where salmons swim to let their eggs where they were born. Cleaver. Well, on their journey, they have to avoid certain difficulties, such as :
Or even worse:
These little grizzlys seem used to human presence (but we won’t go too close… even if some of us may have been very close):
After two days in this little paradise, we decide to leave Alaska. And it will the last time. We will now start for real our journey through Americas, straight to the South. Our next stop will be Vancouver, 2.500 km from here!
When was this trip? I’m planning to take a trip from anchorage to haines on Nov 11 to 13th, do you think I need studded tires? Thank you
Hi. It was in september. I don’t think you will need them if you’re staying on the main roads. But you may double check 😉
