After our discovery of the rodeo world, we finally made it to Vancouver.

3rd biggest city in Canada, we can say it, we forgot how it is to see so many people and agitation!

We arrive at night, it is dark and there are not many spots on ioverlander to spend the night.

There is still the Walmart solution. Walmart is THE solution when we do not find any other place to sleep.

However, in Vancouver, beside the fact that there is no wild spot to sleep (well it is a city…), all the 3 Walmarts seem to forbid overnight camping…

So we drive around the city and the suburb. We finally decide to park in a road next to a Walmart, where other campers and vans are already. It seems to be tolerated. It seems.

So we get prepared for our first night in Vancouver.

A short night. Around 5 am, we are awaken by some big noises on the body of Tikal. From the inside we see a blue light. The police. We get dressed and go out. But the policemen have left (after having awaken all the campers…)

We do not want to go back to sleep. That would be stupid. But well, it is dark, 5 am and we have already thought to any solution to spend the night.

We decide to enjoy this early beginning of the day and go to admire the sunrise on Vancouver.

So here we are. In Vancouver.

Now the question is: how can we enjoy more peacefully the coming nights? We heard about a great deal in a hostel for 15 dollars per person. Except we are 3 and Tikal does not come through the building entrance. And the car-parks in the street, beside the fact that they are in the street and not so safe during night, they cost a lot of money.

Our last chance is a RV park. We actually try to avoid RV parks, it cost some money!  Well, we try to avoid them as long as we can, except when we need a good shower, or as now, when we just need to sleep and park the van for the day.

In Vancouver, there is only 1 RV park close to the city center. 1 RV park that means high prices. 45 Canadian dollars per night.

We sell all our gold and we take 2 nights! We will rentabilisera with 2 showers (we are crazy!). And we will have the time to visit the city.

Vancouver is a really nice city, with a young and cosmopolite population. We like it.

During 2 days we walk Vancouver from Chinatown to Granville Island or Gastown. And it was really great! We have not seen the entire city but at least we walked a lot!

We leave the morning of the third day having in mind that Tikal deserve a little check-up after over than 13.000 km. After an unsuccessful try, we finally arrive to Parker and Mike.

Available the day after, we leave Tikal for its medical visit. 3 hours later, Tikal is brand new!

And it is time for us to leave definitely Canada for the United States.

Next step, Seattle.
