Today we become again a « trio » as we get Tikal back from the port!

8h30: First, the breakfast and at 9h45 we arrive at the broker, where we pay the 150 $CA fees and go directly to the customs to get the final documents. Everything goes perfectly. The custom lady even calls a taxi for us to go to the port. (yes, Canadian people are really nice!!).

Premier petit-déj

10h50: At the port there are some people waiting to drop their truck, to pick up some furniture and  other waiting to get back there van/motorhome/truck. We meet a French couple travelling with their 2 children on north America during 1 or 2 years and we discuss about our respective projects.

11h30: we will be the last ones this morning (we hope everything went well for the French family who had to wait until the afternoon…). We inspect the van on the outside and inside. Everything seems ok. Nothing has got “lost”.

12h: we fill up Tikal with diesel and here we go!!

Premier plein

Tikal runs well. We will not win any speed records but we will enjoy the landscapes!

18h: we find our fist bivouac! It is a bit cold… we cook a rapid salad and go to sleep:
